Donald Jones is a chef and artist drawing an affinity between the experiential realms of eating and contemporary art. Multidisciplinary in his approach, Donald's work is informed by anthropology, sociology and, instrumentally, his background as a chef using art, installations, and live cooking shows to explore the intersection of art and food.
Donald Jones is a chef and artist drawing an affinity between the experiential realms of eating and contemporary art. Multidisciplinary in his approach, Donald's work is informed by anthropology, sociology and, instrumentally, his background as a chef using art, installations, and live cooking shows to explore the intersection of art and food. With the act of eating as his starting point, his work extends to the political, economic and social concerns of our society, exploring how labels and social conventions can be translated into visual art and performance. Donald is teaming up with Chef Shirley Dixon and Beer Brewer Ben Wagner to round out the evening with a beer tasting to complete the theme. Flavor is sure to excite your palate. Flavor.
