BUILD represents the five core planning principles which form the basis for our solution-based systems of thought: Freedom by Design and Equity on Purpose.
BLACK
Blackness as a diasporic concept and identity is integral to understanding the urban schemas which dictate our built environment and social strata over time.
URBAN
Urban society is the network of organized settlement spaces for humans to reproduce, live and thrive in a cooperative and social manner.
INDUSTRIAL
Reclamation of industrial and brownfield sites is key to equitable development and strategic repositioning of cultural connections derived from shared industry.
LAND
Earth's surface is essential to any terrestrial, celestial or aquatic development endeavor as the launchpad and base for human society.
DEVELOPMENT
Development is the process of improvement by which any person, place or thing is deliberately refined in the ordered pursuit of a goal.
